Rural Nebraska needs doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and EMTs who know the community. RHTP is investing in training, recruitment, and retention so the people caring for your family are your neighbors — and so they stay.
RHTP is keeping care closer to home. Hospitals, pharmacies, dentists, clinics, and EMS across rural Nebraska are getting the support they need, so you can be seen in your own community instead of driving hours for it.
About the Initiative
Nebraska is one of the most rural states in the country. With 88 of 93 counties classified as rural and 37% of Nebraskans living outside of cities, access to quality healthcare and nutrition has always been a challenge.
The Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) is a historic $218.5 million federal investment to change that, modernizing how rural Nebraskans access care, food, and healthy living resources.
